The Church of God In Christ, Inc. (COGIC) is a Pentecostal-Holiness Christian denomination with a predominantly African American membership. Founded in 1907 by Bishop Charles Harrison Mason and headquartered in Memphis, TN, COGIC is the fourth largest Protestant group in the United States, with 13,000+ churches in 105 countries and millions of adherents globally.  The Church Of God In Christ is committed to improving the spiritual, physical, and mental health of its community, guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a prominent African American Greek-letter sorority founded on January 13, 1913, at Howard University. It was established with a mission to promote sisterhood, scholarship, and service. The sorority is a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and is known for its dedication to social action and community involvement. Delta Sigma Theta has been instrumental in civil rights movements and advocates for issues such as education, healthcare, and voter engagement. Notable members include civil rights leader Dorothy Height and politician Shirley Chisholm. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men. Founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University by seven visionary students, it aims to foster leadership, scholarship, and service. Alpha Phi Alpha has a rich history of advocating for civil rights and social justice, with notable members including Martin Luther King Jr. and Thurgood Marshall. The fraternity emphasizes brotherhood, academic excellence, community involvement, and mentoring through various programs and initiatives.

The African American Mayors Association (AAMA) is the only organization exclusively representing African-American mayors in the United States. AAMA exists to empower local leaders for the benefit of their citizens. The role of the African American Mayors Association includes taking positions on public policies that impact the vitality and sustainability of cities; providing mayors with leadership and management tools; and creating a forum for member mayors to share best practices related to municipal management.

The National Bar Association was founded in 1925 and is the nation’s oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 65,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.The NBA is organized around 23 substantive law sections, 9 divisions, 12 regions and 80 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and around the world.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is a prominent African American Greek-letter fraternity, established on January 9, 1914, at Howard University. It was founded with the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. The fraternity emphasizes social action and has a strong history of activism and community engagement. Phi Beta Sigma is a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and has notable members like civil rights leader A. Philip Randolph and artist Alain Leroy Locke.
